AGENDA

Friday October 11, 2019

Time: 6pm - 9pm

Yoga philosophy - We all learn about it but how do we implement it into our lives without succumbing to toxic spirituality, becoming burnt out, or feeling hypocritical?

Through the years as a yoga practitioner I have found myself confused on many levels of how to infuse the philosophy of yoga into my life as well as guiding others in their life. Friday evening, we will hold space for eachother wanting to share their stories, give insight, learn new tools for our leadership and to keep the candle lit in brightening the space for others. Friday evening is dedicated to going back to the basic approach simplifying our lives in our yogic career.

* Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Saturday October 12th, 2019

Time: 9am-12pm OR 2pm -5pm

Hands On Adjustments - They can be a bit scary! Well here is your chance to learn ways to get a bit more comfortable in offering hands on adjustments. We will go over common postures used in classes with modifications. We we will also talk about fly by adjustments when you’re leading a big class and can’t get to every student and want to keep you and your student feeling safe in adjusting.

Due to teaching, kids, responsibilities, etc, teachers will have the option to choose what time works best for them. If you plan to come all day, we have a zen den room for meditation right on Austin Lake.

Sunday October 13th, 2019

Time: 9am -12pm OR 2pm -5pm

Theming and Cueing - Teaching methodology and topics. Sometimes they are easy, other times it can be daunting to pick a theme where ever can relate. We are all so gifted in our teaching method, we reach out to so many people and help them along the way. However, at times we feel stagnant in our approach on leading a class, often feeling repetitive and open to new approaches. As yogis, we are always open to exploring new ways in brushing up our skills and creative ideas.

We will go over simple methods for fine tuning our personal leadership and relationship in teaching skills.
